KYURKCHYAN is a family-based company rooted in Yerevan, Armenia, founded by designer Armen Kyurkchyan together with his two daughters, Sona and Astghik Kyurkchyan. At the heart of KYURKCHYAN is a deep love and respect for Armenia's cultural legacy and a commitment to carrying its beauty forward through design. Our mission is to create pieces - whether a book, a decorative object, or anything else - that can be enjoyed now and treasured forever. Every KYURKCHYAN product is designed in the KYURKCHYAN DESIGN HOUSE and realized either through the highest-quality printing or through handcrafting by skilled artisans.

Our story began in 2010 with the publication of Armen Kyurkchyan’s first book, Armenian Ornamental Art. This was followed by two additional volumes, forming a series dedicated to Armenian ornamental art. Over the years, thousands of ornaments were collected, redrawn, and transformed into graphic images by Armen Kyurkchyan, creating a unique visual archive.

This work laid the foundation for KYURKCHYAN PUBLISHING, which continues to publish books celebrating Armenian culture, along with Armenian translations of noteworthy works from various languages.

Alongside publishing, KYURKCHYAN creates decorative objects designed in-house and handcrafted in Armenia. Each piece is made with respect for tradition and materials, using craftsmanship methods that keep heritage techniques alive. We work with noble, natural materials that develop depth and character over time. Each KYURKCHYAN piece is crafted with attention to every detail, meant to be enjoyed for years and handed down through generations. Our designs reflect Armenian aesthetics through a contemporary lens, remaining timeless while feeling relevant today.

Armenian medieval fabric ornaments play a central role in our textile and print collections. Reimagined by KYURKCHYAN, these motifs appear on gift wrapping paper, postcards, bookmarks, and textile designs. Our fabrics are natural, made from cotton or silk, and produced in India. The block-printed fabrics are hand-printed with wooden blocks in Jaipur by skilled artisans. These fabrics are then crafted into finished products by hand in Armenia.
